Ryan Bowes-Cowan is the Managing Director of Entire Trades Group and the licensed electrician who started the business in 2017. He still runs it from Maitland, and his name is on every job the team does across the Hunter Valley and Central Coast.

From the tools to the top job

Ryan is an electrician by trade. Before Entire Trades, his work took him across civil, mining, residential and commercial projects, including managing projects for the Australian Defence Force. That mix matters on a job site. A Level 2 network connection, a commercial switchboard upgrade and a ducted air conditioning install each have their own rules, and Ryan has worked under all of them.



Managing Defence projects also meant coordinating a lot of trades at once. Ryan built a network of reliable tradespeople doing that work, and it gave him the idea behind Entire Trades: one phone number and one team for the whole job, rather than a customer chasing four separate contractors.

Local, and staying that way

Ryan lives and works in the Maitland area. Entire Trades is based in Lochinvar and serves Maitland, East Maitland, Rutherford, Thornton, Morpeth, Cessnock, Singleton, Port Stephens and Newcastle, with the Central Coast covered for commercial and Level 2 work.

What Ryan set out to fix

Entire Trades started on a simple premise. Maitland, Hunter and Central Coast residents deserved a trades business they could rely on. Not a franchise, not a booking service that farms the job out, but a local, family-owned company with its own licensed tradespeople who live in the communities they work in.


Under Ryan's direction the business has grown into four service lines: electrical (residential, commercial, industrial, Level 2 and 24/7 emergency), air conditioning, solar and EV charging, and commercial refrigeration. Clients have included the Australian Government Department of Defence, BGIS, Charter Hall, Essential Energy and Ausgrid, alongside thousands of Maitland homes.

The business carries NSW Electrical Licence 370051C, Level 2 Accredited Service Provider authorisation with Essential Energy, accreditation with Ausgrid, Plus ES and Vector, Refrigerant Trading Authorisation AU55470 and Refrigerant Handling Licence L140372, and Solar Accreditation Australia accredited installer status. The company is fully insured for trade and electrical work.
