Undertaking your own home renovations in Maitland – even when it’s a single room – can become tiresome quickly! We’ll give you your downtime back and complete the job for you.
When you can’t bear to look at your old bathroom tiles anymore, or your laundry’s no longer functional, we’ll help! We undertake wet room renovations for homes, businesses and schools in Maitland.
We live in a place where outdoor living is made possible by our long, hot summers. To help you take advantage, we build and refurbish home exteriors including
decking in Maitland!
Unless your entire home is being fixed up, you won’t need to move out during renovations. Even then, it’s possible with a bit of pre-planning to avoid needing temporary accommodation. However, working on homes is never a quiet job – particularly when the power tools get going! During working hours, you might find being around your home slightly noisy and uncomfortable. Not a problem if you’re out-and-about, but you’ll need to be prepared for this. To find out more about the process, get in touch with Entire Trades today.
When choosing materials for your
outdoor decking, there’s a few different options, each with their advantages and drawbacks. The most commonly adopted are timber, PVC and composite. Timber can be painted or stained to any colour, is readily available and looks fantastic! But with that comes moisture absorbency requiring the timbers to be treated regularly which can become all too costly and time-consuming. PVC decking is more stain-resistant and easier to clean but requires more support to prevent sagging and is prone to cracking. Composite decking is made up of reclaimed plastic and timber fibers, which increases durability, whilst remaining easy to clean and maintain. However, this is reflected in the higher purchase price. For more information on available materials, call Entire Trades today.
Yes, you can, permitted the total value of the renovations – including materials, other labour and GST – comes to $5k or less. If it’s over this value, you’ll need a licence from Service NSW before carrying out any work. To obtain a licence you need to hold an applicable trade qualification and meet other conditions outlined on the NSW Government Fair Trading website. If you fail to meet the criteria, or if you’d rather a professional tackle the job, call Entire Trades. We’re familiar with all applicable council regulations and requirements.
